What we're doing
From the products we source to the way we package and communicate, we look for simple ways to reduce waste.
Packaging
Where possible, we reuse packaging. It might not always look shiny and new on the outside, but what's inside is what matters. If you're able to reuse our packaging again, even better.
Emails over paper
We prefer to email information rather than send paper copies wherever possible. And before printing an email, it's always worth asking whether you really need a paper copy.
Recycling
All of the packaging we use is recyclable, right down to our paper tape and address label envelopes. If you can't reuse it, please recycle it responsibly where possible.
Help us reduce waste
A few simple things can help give packaging, batteries and paper a longer life before they're thrown away.
What about old tyres and inner tubes?
We're continuing to look for practical ways for individuals to recycle wheelchair tyres, inner tubes and other rubber products. We know old rubber is sometimes recycled commercially for uses such as road surfacing and indoor gym flooring, but these services are often designed for businesses recycling large quantities.
At the moment, we haven't found a suitable nationwide option for individuals. Your local household recycling centre may be able to help, as different centres accept different materials.
We'll continue looking for better options and will share any useful recycling routes we find.
