Perfect fitI had a lot of stress finding tyres, talked to Spokz, job done, perfect fit, great tread, fast on smooth and handles grass, mud and gravel, definatley order again.

Punctured by a small thornI usually buy Marathon Plus but thought I would give these a go. They seemed good but less than a month in I find myself grounded by a puncture. The culprit? A really small thorn. I am going back to Marathon Plus.

Maxxis Alpha Protect Wheelchair TyreBeen using wheelchairs since I was a child, I'm now in my mid 40's, and these tyres are THE BEST that I have EVER used and the only ones I will EVER be buying now. They are perfect in terms of the price, the quality and the grip they provide in dry and wet conditons. I never get punctures with them either, yet I have had several punctures when using Schwalbe wheelchair tyres, which also cost more.

I I would recommend this tyreExcellent tyre, I’ve always used marathon plus tyres and I’ve used these tyres for 4 months now, in my opinion I think these are better than the marathon plus tyres definitely got competition on their hands.

A great cut-price alternative to marathon, Pluss!Normally I always use marathon class on my wheelchairs, but I found the last couple of sets I bought to be really expensive. Like everybody, I’ve had to cut my costs on things lately and decided this time to look for something else other than my previous tire of choice. I have only had these tires fitted on my chair today and can honestly say they are absolutely brilliant and I will be buying more of these when my other tires need replacement. Maxxis Alpha Protect a good choice.This was my first purchase at Spokz, I had been looking for a good price on marathon plus’s as normal and come across these and just had to give them a try for the money. knew the brand well from my daughters Mountain Bike and I am not disappointed, I cannot see me going back to Marathon plus.

Decent tyre, good value.Had these on for a month now. They roll easily, can take high pressure and don't puncture on thorns, broken glass etc.

Lighter option but popped on first dayFitted the tyre, went on nice and easy. Pumped to required psi. Went out sweeping the front drive literally the next day, came inside, noticed a small thorn and a puncture. Not a great start and it really knocks your confidence in the tyre. I wanted something lighter than marathon plus (which they are) but a pop on the first day from something so small really tarnished my opinion of them sadly.

Maxxis alphaI have always used marathon plus fir years..got new chair with cheapo tires..bought these maxxis alpha on a chance,,they are better..soft on the hands smooth on the roll..great for indoor sports use..great grip for stopping especially going down hill..great in the wet..harder wearing than the marathon plus.

Early days yet but no complaintsLike most people I've been using marathon plus tyres for a long time and decided to change to these due to a lower price point. Installation on 25" rims was a little easier than with the Schwalbe, not hugely different but they slipped on a little better. Normally it's a pretty physical battle of man vs rubber! They feel good on the hand, lots of grip indoors and don't seem to mark the hard floors. They will get a good test run over the coming months as they'll be put against thorny hedge trimmings, broken glass, muddy paths, country lanes and whatever urban surfaces can throw at them. I'll amend this or re-review after 3 months usage.

Tried these for a change - so far so good!I've always used Schwalbe and saw these so thought I'd give them a go. They're usefully cheaper than the Schwalbe's and have a unidirectional tread so it doesn't matter which way you put them on. So far they haven't marked the carpet and I'll have to wait a few months to see how they were. Service from Spokz was excellent as always.

Tried these for a changeI usually use Marathon plus tyres but saw these advertised offering similar qualities at a much better price. I have not been impressed with black tyres before as they mark my carpet. I have now been using for over w week and so far very impressed no marking easy rolling hopefully just as good avoiding punctures

So far so good!I've only ever used marathon plus tyres on my everyday wheels and when my current pair had worn down completely I was looking for a new pair. I've always bought my marathon plus tyres from Spokz as they are cheaper than I've been able to find them elsewhere and they always arrive quickly and without issue. I saw the Maxxis Alpha wheels on the website and that they were slightly cheaper than the marathon plus so decided to give them a go. I've used them for around a month and so far finding them great! I tend to go through tyres pretty quickly so we'll see how long they last but so far very happy.
