Why are Spinergy spokes better than steel spokes?
The patented use of fiber spokes has numerous benefits to the user. Fiber spokes act as a vibration and shock dampener - 25% more absorbent than steel. Spinergy spokes are much lighter than steel spokes - 1/2 the weight. Fiber is much stronger than steel - 3x as strong. Combined with the custom rim and hub, it's the highest performing and most reliable wheel design on the market.
What maintenance do Spinergy wheels require?
Keep them clean. Occasionally take your wheels off the chair, remove the axle and wipe the bearings, hub, and axle with a dry rag. The bearings are sealed, so you will not need to grease them. We recommend you inspect your wheels occasionally to make sure spokes are tight, the rim is not damaged and your tire pressure is adequate.

Built for high contact sports, the SLX R-10 is assembled with extra-large bearings for use with 5/8” axle pins (no more bending axles!). Ready to give and take hits, this wheel features 24 spokes in our fat 4mm size. Most popular in basketball and quad rugby, but can be used anytime extra axle strength is desired.
Offers the same performance as the SLX 24 Spoke wheel, but designed for the larger 5/8” axle size. Besides being the most durable on the market, the SLX 24 Spoke is also a responsive, lightweight, quick accelerating and manoeuvring wheel.
Note: Wheelchair must have a 5/8” axle receiver to be compatible. Other wheel models use 1/2” (12.7mm) bearings, or 12mm bearings.
