Excellent Compact Bag for Essentials & ValuablesWhen I first received the bag I was initially a little thrown by its size as it is pretty compact but I very quickly realised that I was actually carrying many things around that I didn’t need. Once I identified the items I actually needed when out and about they fitted easily into the bag with room to spare I put the extra loops through all the zip-pulls, which are supplied with the bag, partly due to my poor coordination and also because the bag is on my non-dominant left-hand side as I drive my chair with my right. They make opening and closing the sections very easy and the bright orange interior makes a significant difference when trying to find things, although the design means no pocket is so big that things can hide too much. Personally I’ve found that the zipped pocket on the flap is ideal for small items like my Radar key and anything I might need to take out with me like a shopping list or a ticket from the entrance of a carpark, unless you have a particularly small phone it won’t fit in there eg I have an iPhone 11 and it’s significantly too big, but after initially being a little frustrated I realised that I pretty much always have my phone in my lap or coat pocket anyway. The main pockets of the bag are split into a smaller one at the front, perfect for a wallet and some hand sanitiser, and then the larger one behind which is the one where I keep other wheelchair essentials such as a set of allan keys, a torch, some anti-bac wipes, etc and where I dump my house & car keys when I’m out and about. I really I’m really impressed with the Quokka bag and having waited months being indecisive about whether to invest in one it was definitely a good decision. I’ve also managed to attach it to a rectangular section of frame on my powerchair as I don’t have and round tubing as you’d find on a manual chair. By using the fixing with the metal strap and putting the slightly curved tightening piece across the narrow end of the upright, it was able to pull in tight and solid so my bag is fully secure when the lock is applied. Perfect!
